Attire

Creative Movement with Pre-Ballet

Girls: Leotards and tights are preferred, but close fitting shirts with athletic shorts or pants can be substituted. Tights should be cut off at the ankle or be in the capri or stirrup style so that the feet are bare. (Ballet slippers are optional)

Boys:  Close fitting shirts with athletic shorts or pants and bare feet.

Ballet

Girls:  Leotards, tights, and ballet slippers are preferred, but close fitting shirts with atheltic shorts or pants can be subsitituted.

Boys: Close fitting shirts with athletic shorts or pants and black ballet slippers.

Boy's Class

Comfortable close fitting shirts with athletic shorts or pants. Clean sneakers are required.  

Note: Please bring your clean sneakers with you; do not wear your studio shoes on your way to class.

Jazz /Funk

Dancers may wear a combination of leotards, footless tights, or jazz pants with a close fitting shirt. Jazz shoes and clean sneakers are required.

Adult Jazz

Leotards and black tights are preferred, however, students may wear any form-fitting clothing in which they can comfortably move. (e.g., leotard and tights or a tank top or t-shirt with exercise pants or leggings) No shoes required; jazz shoes welcomed.

Adult Ballet

Leotards, black or pink tights, ballet slippers are preferred, however, students may wear any form-fitting clothing in which they can comfortably move (e.g., leotard and tights or a tank top or t-shirt with exercise pants or leggings)

 

  • All female participants are asked to secure their hair back in a ponytail or bun so it not to be a distraction during the class. 

 

  • No jewelry should be worn, please.

 

  • Water is allowed in the studio but must stay off of the dance floor.

 

  • NO STREET SHOES ALLOWED ON THE DANCE FLOOR

Class Policies
  • Please be on time for student pick up and drop off. Parents and dancers may wait out in the lobby until the teacher comes to get you.

 

  • Classes are closed to observers unless invited by the teacher.

 

  • Parents may wait in the lobby or at the UL Student Union during class time.

 

  • The last class of the session is an observation day for parents and friends may be invited to attend. There is no dance recital; the final class will serve as an informal performance. There are no dance recital or costume fees.
